In retrospect, we should all be thankful Plymouth had a promotional partnership with Warner Bros. Cartoons and not the Children's Television Workshop. Why? Can you imagine if the iconic 1970 Plymouth Superbird had Big Bird on its mile-high rear spoiler instead of Wile E. Coyote's arch nemesis, the Road Runner?

That brings us to the super retro cool and over-the-top style of this Big Bird-colored 1970 Plymouth Superbird, one of just 1,084 440-ci, 4-barrel cars of 1,935 total units produced.

Located in Friendsville, Tennessee, at Ryno Classifieds seller Smokey Mountain Trader, this Lemon Twist Superbird is the 128th unit produced. Our favorite option, the bench seat, is so your honey can sit next to you while you go 200 miles an hour around a NASCAR oval track.

Let's be honest. You've never owned a Superbird and you've always wanted one. That's why this Richard Petty-autographed 1970 Plymouth Superbird is our Car of the Week.
