For those who have neither the checkbook nor the dare to drive around in a Dodge Hellcat and its 707hp and higher varieties, the SRT 392 engine packages on the Dodge Charger and Challenger have served up fantastic performance for many muscle-car enthusiasts without breaking the wallet.

That same performance bang for the buck doesn't translate over to the 392 Rubicon Jeep, which just had its Launch Edition pricing announced this week. According the the new parent company of Dodge, RAM and Jeep, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 launch edition carries a starting U.S. manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $73,500 (excluding $1,495 destination).

It marks the first time in 40 years that Wrangler offers an available V-8 engine installed at the factory and the Rubicon 392's potent 6.4-liter (or 392-cubic-inch) power plant iis packed with 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.

• Off-road-ready content, including 2-inch factory lift, functional hood scoop with Hydro-Guide™ air intake, beadlock-capable wheels, unique bolstered leather seats and active dual-mode exhaust system

The new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is scheduled to start arriving in dealerships next month.
