RYNO Find of the Month: The Cadillac V that Time Forgot
Introduced in 2004, the Cadillac XLR was designed to be Cadillac's flagship luxury sports car, with sleek lines and a sporty, aerodynamic shape that immediately caught the attention of car enthusiasts. Built on the GM Y-platform chassis, the same platform used for the Chevrolet Corvette, the XLR was produced in the same Bowling Green, KY plant as the Corvette until 2009. With only minor updates each year, the XLR had a limited production run of just 16,652 units.

However, the XLR's popularity increased significantly when the V-series Edition was introduced, which included an intercooled supercharger, an additional gear in the transmission, and larger Z51 brakes borrowed from the Corvette. With its 4.6-second 0-60mph launch time and 11.3-second sprint to 100mph, the XLR-V became an instant success among luxury car enthusiasts looking for an American-made car that combined class and outstanding performance.

RYNO dealer St. Louis Car Museum and Sales offers a one-owner 2006 Cadillac XLR-V Roadster, finished in Infrared Jewel Red with a Shale Leather interior. Equipped with a 4.4L supercharged and intercooled Northstar V8 engine that produces 443 horsepower and 414 ft. lbs. of torque, this car comes with a six-speed automatic shiftable transmission. Having only traveled 2,324 miles since new, this XLR-V includes features such as power retractable aluminum top, heated and cooled power seats, wood grain interior finishes, 19" 9-spoke painted alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli EuForia tires, remote keyless entry, navigation/DVD system, Bose premium audio system, illuminated vanity mirrors, fog lights, and more.

Representing only 1,147 V-Series units built for the 2006 model year, and only 1 of 286 finished in Infrared Jewel Red, this XLR-V is likely one of the few with such low mileage, beautifully kept care, and a one-owner history. At an original MSRP of $110,000, the XLR-V offers tremendous value for its current price and has significant potential for future collectability.
