The 2023 Corvette Z06 isn't due out for another nine months, but that's not stopping America's favorite sports car from doing some bragging.

According to car-show shoutouts shown with a pre-production Z06, the 2023 super-Vette will lay down the law with a 10.6 second quarter-mile time.

That makes the new Z06 equally as fast as the outgoing C7 ZR1, then the fastest production Vette in history.

"The 2023 Corvette Z06 is powered by GM’s new dual overhead camshaft, flat plane crank 5.5L LT6 V8 engine, which is factory rated at 670 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque – making it the most potent naturally aspirated V8 engine ever offered in a production vehicle. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a standard electronically controlled limited-slip differential." (Source: GMAuthority.com

2023 Corvette Z06 production begins Summer of 2022.
