On September 18th at 4 pm, Cadillac opened the reservation system for the all-new, all-electric Lyriq sedan. Less than a day has passed, and the reservations are full.

The Lyriq is Cadillac's new electric crossover and it plans on taking the wind out of the sales of the Tesla Model X.

I think the design is pretty darn amazing and will help reaffirm Cadillac as the "Standard of the World."

I also compliment Cadillac for doing away with the alphabet-soup naming strategy that changed every couple of years and brought us the "Is it a CTS or a CT5?" and "Is it an XTS or an XT5?" stupidity.

Now if only Cadillac would bring back the names that made the brand great like El Dorado, Sedan de Ville and Fleetwood!
