The Wait is Over. CT5-V Blackwings Born Today. Dealers and Public Await!
For those folks who are fond of Cadillac performance, today is a special day. The first CS5-V Blackwings began rolling off the assembly line of Cadillac's plant in Michigan.

According to the internet, "The first production 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is finished in the Shadow Metallic exterior color and features a Natural Tan with Black Accents interior. It’s also equipped with a GM 10-speed automatic transmission, rather than the base six-speed manual transmission." (Source: GMAuthority.com.)

Production started on July 7, with a mix of 12 CT4-V Blackwings and CT5-V Blackwings officially becoming "Day 1" cars, though we are not sure if the VINs started sequentially at 001.

There's a lot to love about these new performance Cadillacs. The CTS-V features the Corvette's supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine, pushing out 668 horsepower and 659 lb. of torque. It's one of the few American sedans left (if not the only) with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel-drive.

Speed fans will love the fact that the CT5-V tops out over 200 mph.

Prices start at $84,990 in the U.S. including destination and freight charges.
