That's according to Cars.com, which used multiple criteria to rank today's dealer vehicles for how much American content they contain and other factors.
The criteria includes: Location(s) of final assembly
Percentage of U.S. (and Canadian) parts
Countries of origin for all available engines
Countries of origin for all available transmissions
U.S. manufacturing workforce
The mid-engine Corvette ranked number five, and you might be surprised what other American vehicles have more American parts.
Coming in at number two, behind the Tesla 3, which is built in California, is the legendary Ford Mustang, now in its sixth generation.
In the Third position is another California-built Tesla, the Model T.
Ranked Fourth is the Jeep Cherokee, which is built in Belvidere, Illinois.
Honda secured the Sixth- through Ninth-ranked positions with various vehicles it builds in Lincoln, Alabama.
