Hi my name is Ashley Afdahl but I am also known as Porkchop! I am 22 years old, born and raised here in the ever so lovely Arizona desert and have been racing for 5 years. I grew up around racing but didn’t get my official start until 2017 in a local dirt karting class. Ran those until the middle of 2021 and made the transition into Micro Sprints. I have just begun my racing journey behind the wheel of a Micro Sprint and recently just had the opportunity to race the Tulsa Shootout. I have dreamed of racing Micros and the Shootout since I was a little girl but due to lack of funding I didn’t get the chance to until now. My dad always distilled in me to work hard and if you want something you have to be willing to go in 110%. In order to race I need help financially and have had to work very hard to obtain sponsorships to be able to race each weekend. My plan is to run all of 2022 behind the wheel of the Micro and to hopefully travel more outside of my state lines to compete wheel to wheel with some of the best in the field! Racing is my entire life and I wouldn’t change that for the world. I hope to climb up the ladder and race 410 Sprint Cars while also continuing to inspire younger generations to chase their dreams just like I did!
