Nadine Coates a local stock car driver that started working on race cars when she was 8 years old. By age 13, Nadine started in the mini stock division at Hudson Speedway in Hudson NH, although she did not see success her strong will and desire to continue the family tradition kept her hungry for that first win. Nadine continued her racing career in the mini stocks and a few streets stock races throughout high school before graduating and being accepted to the University of Northwestern Ohio (Unoh), one of the country’s top racing automotive schools. This allowed Nadine to expand her racing experience while gaining valuable engine building and tuning skills. Nadine graduated with an Associates Degree in High Performance Engine Building and has been using that knowledge for her own race team. In March 2015, Nadine got involved with the Granite State Mini Sprint Race Club and worked as race coordinator for the 2015 season. Due to her experience with building performance engines, she was asked to assist in a trial project experimenting a new engine for the club. This required her knowledge of engines to figure out how to mount and successfully run a fresh style motorcycle engine on the current mini sprint chassis. Nadine successfully made it happen and was rewarded a full-time ride in that very car for the 2016 racing season landing multiple top 10’s and several 2nd place finishes. In 2017 she landed her first career win and her consistency earned her 2nd in points for the season. In 2021,Nadine dipped her toes into the enduro division scoring a feature win, multiple top 5’s and finished 3rd in points for the women’s division and 11th in points in the combined men’s and women’s division. The 2022 season is shaping up to be a very ambitious season. Nadine will periodically run her mini sprint at Devils bowl speedway in fair haven,VT as well as continue with the enduro races across new england with a special trip out to Bethal, NY. While she will enjoy these special races, her primary focus will be bringing her mini stock racing program to the next level. Her mini stock has alot of sentimental value as this is a car that was originally built by her and her dad prior to him passing in 2004. She reaquired the car after a 10 year hiatus in 2015. She has. Spent the last few years updating the chassis and modernizing the driveline. When the car was initially built, it was on the foundations of thinking outside the box. Nadine continues to build on this foundation and strives to keep her father's memory alive. Nadine will compete on the Northeast Mini stock tour across New England, the Mini Stock divisions at Star speedway as well as White Mountain Motorsports Park, and additionally the NHSTA Mini Stocks. She will also be making her way down to Bradenton, Florida’s Freedom Factory owned by YouTube sensation Cletus McFarland for a mini stock race on February 12th.
