1984 Mazda RX-7 Bodied round tube chassis drag car. All steel body, nicely built mild steel round tube chassis, funny car style cage, 4-link rear suspension. $9500 rolling, $13,500 turn key with N/A 477 BBC/Glide. The blower motor is no longer in the car and is not included at this price, but could be purchased with the car with the a promod Powerglide for $28000 total. It currently has the engine listed below. Aluminum interior, some carbon fiber wrapped. 9" Ford rearend, Moser Nodular center section, Spool, Moser 35 spline axles. Aerospace components aluminum rear disc brakes. Billet single adjustable rear coilovers. Chromoly Pro wheelie bars. Powerglide transmission w/ transbrake, TCI converter. 477ci Big Block Chevy, iron GM heads, Steel crank, solid lift cam, Forged 12:1 Pistons, Crane Rockers & girdles. Custom polished stainless 2.25" zoomie headers. Vertex Magneto ignition, Holley Dominator carb. New lexan windows already cut and fitted, we hadn't installed yet because we were planning on painting it. The car runs and drives as it is now, just needs a few little things to be track ready.
-Nicely built Chassis, was last certified in the late 90's. Shouldn't take much to cert 7.50. We removed one bar from the funny car cage to make it easier to get in and out of since we were just planning to 6.0 index race it. It can easily be replaced without compromising the structure/certifiability of the chassis. The car is small, I am 5'11, 300 lbs and can fit, but it's tight. 98" wheelbase. Very light, weighs less than 2200 as it sits with iron headed big block. Could be made much lighter easily. The car has a 14" wide wheel on the rear with a 33x12W tire. It would fit a slightly larger tire as it is, or much larger with some quarter work. What does it need to be track ready? Tires, windows installed, seat belts, and scaled/suspension set up/tightened/aligned.
