Please Read My 2000 4Runner died the night before leaving for summer vacation (July 1st......non-repairable). Went to Toyota of Naperville for used replacement next day. Found like new 2009 Highlander. Bought since I needed a car (second owner), though this was not my choice only because I was looking for a reliable older 4Runner . Purchased July 8, 2021. First owner was a tech at Toyota of Naperville. 184,019 miles. Complete thorough maintenance record (see CarFax). Great vehicle, but need something less to leave in Michigan. Needed 6 cylinder with boat hitch. Bought new class 3 trailer hitch installed by Toyota (hitch never installed though has towing package) …… pull 19 foot boat (single axle trailer)from storage to lake slip and back to storage at end of season (80 miles total) so little use. Also had Highlander undercoated by Toyota. Current mileage 185,712 so drove about 1700 miles since buying (cottage 470 from Illinois).
Immaculate car and all working (seven passenger) drove the trip beautifully. Great family car. I have RAV4, but cannot pull boat with it which was reason for purchase (6 cylinder) as well as getting on the road quickly. Beautiful car but not what I need.
